Is charcoal or light gray more versatile?

Charcoal wins for versatility — it reads almost as formal as black but pairs more naturally with colored shirts and ties. Light gray is better suited for spring/summer events and daytime occasions. If you can only own one gray suit, go charcoal. If you can own two, add a medium gray.

What tie colors work best with a gray suit?
