Being the best dressed man in the room it's even more important when we talk about business environment. At hockerty we offer you a wide range of style options so you can choose the one that match your style. But, you should always consider a few important rules:
The first thing you should do is check out the dress code in your office. This may sound obvious, but we had to say it. If it's compulsory to dress a suit, it will not be enough to combine jacket and chino trousers (except on fridays, maybe)
Second: avoid black. Black is not for the office. You can choose dark greys and dark blues, but not black.
Third: Patterns are cool, but keep them under control. Window pane, if the lines are thin. Houndstooth, in case it's not too big. Stripes are accepted too, but not too visible.
Fourth: Don't go for plain to play it safe. If you want it plain, cool, but look for a little of detail in the fabric. Something that doesn't look "just" plain.
Fifth: Fabric. Go for wool and avoid risks. Cotton, corduroy, velvet.... are obviously not suitable for the office. Linen may be an option, but just in the summer season or in very warm areas
