How do I care for leather shoes?
Our made-to-order leather shoes are handcrafted from premium materials. Following these general care tips will help you keep them in excellent condition.
General care tips
- Cleaning: Wipe shoes gently with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove dust and dirt.
- Conditioning: Apply a small amount of neutral or color-matching leather cream every few weeks to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
- Polishing: Use a clean, soft cloth to polish and restore shine after conditioning.
- Drying: Let shoes dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight if they get wet. Never use a hairdryer or radiator.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place with shoe trees inserted to maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Soles and heels: When the soles or heel caps show visible wear, a professional cobbler can easily resole or replace them.
